Newfire is seeking an AI/NLP Engineer to implement and customize AI solutions for enterprise clients. You'll work with existing foundation models and proven AI frameworks to build client-specific implementations that extract insights from unstructured data and automate complex business processes.

You’re a perfect match if you have:

2-4 years experience with NLP/AI engineering
Proficiency with modern AI frameworks (Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, spaCy, PyTorch/TensorFlow)
Experience fine-tuning and deploying pre-trained language models
Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with ML engineering best practices
Experience with data preprocessing, model evaluation, and performance optimization
Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and cloud deployment platforms
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field

Preferred:

Previous work with domain-specific text data (healthcare, finance, legal, marketing, customer service)
Familiarity with enterprise systems and data standards
Experience with MLOps tools and model monitoring frameworks
Understanding of data privacy requirements and secure development practices
Exposure to industry-specific regulations and compliance frameworks
Contributions to AI or enterprise integration projects

Your day-to-day activities:

Implement AI text processing pipelines using existing foundation models and frameworks
Fine-tune and adapt pre-trained models for client-specific data patterns and business contexts
Build data preprocessing pipelines that handle diverse document formats and data structures
Develop custom entity extraction, classification, and content understanding solutions
Integrate AI components with enterprise systems, databases, and business applications
Create evaluation frameworks to validate AI performance against business requirements
Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize exploratory models into production workflows
Support deployment and monitoring of AI systems in client environments
