Newfire is seeking a Analytics Engineer

What's the Project?
We are seeking a talented and motivated Analytics Engineer to join our small team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the data pipelines and data models that serve our reports and dashboards.

The ideal candidate has solid database and analytics skills and is looking for an opportunity to level up professionally. They need to be curious, flexible, driven, and enthusiastic about trying new technologies. This role will have opportunities to get career guidance and mentorship from experts with decades experience in data, engineering, healthcare and startups.

You’re a perfect match if you have:

A few years of experience in a data engineering or analytics role, with a proven track record of building and maintaining data pipelines and tools.
Strong proficiency in SQL with experience in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
Strong proficiency dbt core and/or cloud for data transformation and modeling.
Strong proficiency in data modeling, such as star schemas and medallion architectures
Familiarity with Snowflake or other data warehousing solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Passion for data and a strong interest in contributing to the prosperity of the company
Previous experience with consulting a strong plus
Motivation to master new data tools and BI tools (quick learner skill)

Your day-to-day activities:

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using dbt and SQL to support dashboards and reports.
Collaborate with analysts to understand their data needs and translate them into robust and scalable data solutions.
Build and maintain internal tools and dashboards to facilitate efficient data management.
Contribute to the development and improvement of our data infrastructure ensuring data quality, reliability, and security.
Work closely with data engineering to integrate new data sources into the core data infrastructure.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in data engineering and analytics.
As a Senior team member, you will be expected to actively participate in our hiring processes by serving on interview panels for future roles across the company.
