Newfire is seeking a Senior Project Manager in LATAM who is going to be working on a project involving modernizing the client’s data stack by consolidating two existing data solutions that include overlapping data and rely on legacy SQL- and SSIS-based pipelines. The initiative focuses on transitioning to a modern, scalable, Python-based data platform, improving performance, maintainability, and long-term sustainability. The work emphasizes production-quality data pipelines, standardized engineering practices, and reliable data infrastructure designed to support healthcare operations in a regulated environment. As part of the broader modernization effort, legacy components are expected to be gradually phased out as the new platform becomes stable and fully adopted.

Our client is a U.S. healthcare organization operating in the care management and quality improvement space, supporting healthcare organizations in improving outcomes, addressing care gaps, and promoting health equity.

You’re a perfect match if you have:

8+ years of experience as a Project Manager delivering complex technology initiatives
Demonstrated experience owning project planning, scheduling, and execution, including light business analysis responsibilities
Strong background supporting engineering teams in structured, delivery-focused environments
Proven ability to manage resource allocation, including shared or rotating resource pools
Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence; familiarity with Smartsheet or similar planning tools
Experience using Miro or similar tools for planning and visual collaboration
Strong communication skills, including executive-level status updates and presentations
Ability to manage risks, dependencies, and delivery schedules across multiple workstreams

Your day-to-day activities:

Own and create the project roadmap and delivery schedule, ensuring alignment with overall objectives
Translate near-term goals directly into Jira epics and user stories, performing BA-level work as needed
Maintain and actively manage the project risk register, dependencies, and timelines
Support the Engineering Manager by creating planning and governance materials that protect dedicated resources from unplanned work
Drive execution using established delivery workflows and tooling (Jira, Confluence, Miro)
Prepare and deliver regular status updates and executive communications
As a Senior team member, you will be expected to actively participate in our hiring processes by serving on interview panels for future roles across the company.
