Background on Nashina Asaria
Before joining Newfire, Nashina held senior leadership roles that demonstrate both her strategic insight and operational success. As Chief Product and Marketing Officer at Cloudbreak Health, she helped scale the company’s telehealth platform eightfold during the COVID-19 pandemic and oversaw its integration into UpHealth’s NYSE debut. At LifeQ, she served as Chief Commercial Officer, driving over $100 million in licensing agreements with major insurers and technology partners, including Hannover Re, RGA, Swiss Re, Amazon, and Qualcomm. Earlier, as Chief Product Officer at NantHealth and Executive Vice President at NantWorks, she advanced precision medicine and digital chronic care programs under Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong.
Beyond her executive roles, Nashina currently serves as a Non-Executive Director on the board of Oneview Healthcare (ASX:ONE), where she contributes to the growth of patient experience platforms used by leading U.S. health systems. She also advises a portfolio of emerging technology ventures spanning AI, renewable infrastructure, fintech, and biotechnology.
Earlier in her career, she played pivotal roles in the launch of transformative consumer products like Amazon’s Kindle and London’s Oyster Card, underscoring her instinct for products that reshape industries.
Originally from Kenya and now a U.S. citizen, she brings a personal and professional commitment to creating opportunity and impact. Outside of work, she supports education as a Trustee of the Ashinaga Foundation UK, providing university scholarships to orphaned students across Africa.
