Newfire Appoints Sean Lara as Chief Growth Officer
Newfire Global Partners, a technology and advisory partner to leading digital health organizations, announces that Sean Lara has joined the company as Chief Growth Officer. In this role, Lara will lead Newfire’s growth strategy, working across go-to-market, partnerships, and client engagement to support the company’s continued expansion in healthcare and digital health.

Lara brings more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, spanning consulting, business services, and digital health. His career has focused on helping healthcare and healthcare technology companies scale responsibly, align technology with business priorities, and deliver measurable commercial outcomes in complex, regulated environments.
Although I’ve spent much of my career on the commercial side, I started in new products and corporate strategy, so I have a deep respect for what it takes to deliver well. At Newfire, Lara will be responsible for advancing the company’s growth initiatives as it scales its position as a strategic partner embedded with market leaders. His role will focus on strengthening Newfire’s market presence, deepening relationships with clients and partners, and aligning growth efforts with the company’s expanded advisory, engineering, data, and AI capabilities.
Background on Sean Lara
Throughout his 25-year career, Lara has held senior leadership roles at both incumbents and high-growth startups. Across a range of healthcare domains, including patient engagement, clinical documentation integrity, and AI-driven automation, Lara has led commercial growth initiatives that drove nearly fivefold growth in new bookings in a single year and supported a successful private equity exit.
Most recently, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at Censinet, where he helped drive significant growth across enterprise healthcare customers. Prior to that, he held multiple leadership roles at AKASA, including Managing Director and Head of Strategic Partnerships, supporting the company’s expansion in AI-driven healthcare automation.
Earlier in his career, Lara spent nearly a decade at The Advisory Board Company, where he rose to Managing Director of Solutions, working closely with hospitals and health systems across the U.S. and internationally. He also spent more than seven years at GetWellNetwork, serving as General Manager and later Vice President and General Manager for the Western Region, leading growth and operations during a period of significant expansion.
