Two days, sweet summer vibes, and an unlimited dose of extraordinary people. Yes, we’re talking about .debug, one of the most influential developers conferences in Croatia. We had an amazing time connecting and sharing industry insights with the 1200+ developers in attendance from all over Croatia and beyond.

We were so pleased to have our CEO & Co-Founder, Stephen Hau, join us from the U.S. to share the inspiring story of his transition from engineer to successful CEO. In his session, ‘’From Engineer to Entrepreneur: Are You Really Project Managing Your Career,” Steve discussed his career path ranging from a variety of C-Suite roles, career advisor, angel investor, and founder. He provided thoughtful guidance on avoiding common startup pitfalls, identifying career advancement opportunities, and developing habits for success in the tech industry. We have to say – it was truly a blast to see Steve presenting on the main stage for a “sold out” crowd in the state-of-the-art Lauba Conference Hall.

We were also supported throughout the conference by an amazing team of Newfire recruiters, marketers, and developers who represented the core values and unique company culture we strive to cultivate. One of the greatest highlights from the week was the ability to share exactly who we are as a company, our plans for the future, and opportunities to join our team in Croatia.
